Conferences
The Public Debt Management Group (PDM) organizes and participates in International and Regional Conferences on Public Debt Management to promote discussion and raise awareness of sound practice in public debt management.
Every two years, PDM sponsors the Sovereign Debt Management Forum, bringing together finance officials responsible for managing the sovereign liability portfolio and other members of the international community involved in the area of sovereign debt management.
Seminars & Workshops
PDM offers numerous in-country as well as regional seminars and workshops. The main objective is to raise awareness on sovereign debt management, including capacity building in various specific areas in public debt management. The topics range from risk modeling for sovereign liability portfolios, integrating debt sustainability analysis with risk modeling, managing the risks of contingent liabilities, and institutional arrangements for a sovereign debt management.
Partnerships
PDM actively seeks partnership and coordinates work with regional organizations and bilateral donors involved in the area of public debt management capacity building.
PDM is the point of coordination in the debt management work carried out by the various departments in the World Bank. It is also the point of coordination in the collaborative work with the International Monetary Fund.
