  • In late 2012, the World Bank was recognized as the "Kauri Issuer of the Year" and was awarded the "Kauri Bond Deal of the Year" by KangaNews for its largest Kauri bond issued to date.

Credit Magazine

  • The World Bank's US$4.5 billion global benchmark bond issued in May 2010 was awarded as the "Supranational Bond of the Year" in 2010 by Credit Magazine.

TBLI Conference

  • The Nikko AM World Bank Green Bond Fund was recognized as "Most Innovative Development in ESG" and presented with the ESD Leaders Award in 2010 by TBLI Conference.

Environmental Finance Awards

  • Environmental Finance Awards recognized the Daiwa Securities/World Bank CO2 'Cool' Bond as runner up for the Carbon Finance transaction of 2008.

International Financing Review (IFR)

  • In 2009, the World Bank received mtn-i's 2009 'Institutional Special Mention for Global Recognition Award' for completing MTNs in no fewer than 16 currencies, and issuing USD 1.2 billion equivalent of emerging markets units.

  • In 2006, the Romanian Brokers Association gave the World Bank a Special Award for the First Listing of an International Financial Institution on the Romanian Capital Market.

Emerging Market Magazine

  • In 2003, the World Bank executed the first fully electronic swap auction and Emerging Market Magazine recognized the World Bank for issuance in regional currencies, by awarding Japanese Yen and Hungarian Forint bonds as the "Best Multilateral Deals in a Regional Currency".
