Guilherme Alves


Guilherme is a Senior Investment Officer for the Reserve Advisory and Management Partnership (RAMP) within the World Bank Treasury. He is an engagement manager responsible for client relationships and implementation of capacity-building programs with selected official public institutions and supranational agencies. Guilherme also provides subject matter expert advice on strategic asset allocation and risk management.

Guilherme brings over 20 years of financial market experience, working since 2018 in the World Bank Treasury based in Washington, DC. Prior to working with the World Bank, Guilherme worked in Goldman Sachs Co. New York, Deutsche Bank, and ABN AMRO in various roles providing financial products & derivatives structuring, trading and market risk management solutions to large international banks, asset managers, emerging markets corporations, and sovereign institutions across fixed income, FX, and credit.

He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modeling Applied to Financial Markets from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and is a certified Financial Risk Manager by GARP.
