    • Receive onsite visits by Treasury specialists: Members benefit from tailored support by Treasury specialists who can help address specific needs and implement agreed upon deliverables. These visits typically last one week.
    • Learn firsthand through an internship at the World Bank: Each member has the option to send staff to the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. for specialized training, where they interact and learn from Treasury practitioners in the course of their daily duties.
  • Members benefit from fully sponsored licenses, certifications and courses. Members also:

    • Receive sponsored training and certifications & participate in peer-to-peer learning: Members’ staff can receive full sponsorships for professional licenses, certifications, trainings, online courses, and webinars through RAMP’s innovating funding model. Certifications include CFA, FRM, CAIA, CMT and ACCA-CIA, and to 100-plus courses from over 20 providers
    • Join an online network for practitioners: RAMP hosts an exclusive social networking platform for members, set to launch in 2020.
  • Members collectively create a first-class and a one-of-a-kind network where members interact, share, and develop new ideas—all with a development impact. Members also:

    • Receive invitations to a robust annual schedule of exclusive technical workshops & executive-level events: Members in consultation with their engagement manager determine their annual allotment of seats at technical workshops for their staff to attend. RAMP hosts events each year tailored to advanced topics for senior leaders in the global asset management industry
    • Join senior leaders at annual flagship event, Executive Forum for Senior Policymakers & Officials: For nearly 20 years, the flagship event is held every year during World Bank-IMF Annual Meetings. Senior officials, luminaries and scholars descend upon Washington for this two-day conference.
    • Participate in a forum on reserve management in Asia each year: Each year, a two-day forum hosted in Asia highlights major developments in reserve management, convening both senior officials and technical experts.
  • Members can receive dedicated, custom resources to address institution-specific issues. Members also: 

    • Receive individual consultations: Treasury specialists are available for consultations to determine an institution’s needs and the best approach.
    • Address advanced topics specific to your institution: RAMP can resource World Bank experts, external expert consultants, or specialists in a range of fields to address an institution’s needs.
  • Members join because the above-market cost-savings for their staff. RAMP operates on a cost-recovery basis that allows for training for member staff. Many members remain the program to continue access to staff development resources.

  • Members join a platform by which they can share their expertise with other institutions and deepen their knowledge in a particular field. Members can the next step and share experiences and demonstrated expertise in a particular topic, in a mutually beneficial way.

    In 2019, the Bank of Albania co-hosted the workshop, Legal Aspects of Governance and Asset Management, bringing together RAMP members of a robust and lively discussion of their experiences.


How to Join RAMP?


  • Prospective members work closely with a dedicated engagement manager to determine the approach that best fits the institution’s needs.

    • Review and assess the institution: Following an invitation letter to RAMP, a dedicated engagement manager reviews the prospective institution to assess the scope and purpose of the engagement plan.
    • Design and propose an engagement plan: RAMP works with each member to solicit feedback and create a custom three-year plan. Rest assured, all members are supported by a robust RAMP team.
    • Sign and implement the engagement plan: RAMP works with members to deliver on-site missions, host technical workshops and process travel for staff, and coordinate all sponsored financial training and licenses.
  • RAMP provides three membership options and a dedicated engagement manager, with each engagement plan lasting typically three years.

    • Technical Advisory & Asset Management Plus: This membership offers the greatest set of resources for an institution who would like to increase either their asset management mandate and/or workshop participants.
    • Technical Advisory & Asset Management: This membership is the standard option and allows members to take advantage of both asset management and technical advisory services.
    • Technical Advisory: This membership offers the same benefits the standard option but with no asset management services. Members opt for this plan to continue to develop their staff and receive learning benefits.

    Risk Limits

    Duration deviation limit versus benchmark is +/- 3 months, no FX risk, and consultative stop loss limit is 50 basis points

    Duration deviation limit versus benchmark is +/- 6 months, limited credit & FX risk, and consultative stop loss limit is 100 basis points
