Gianfranco Bertozzi is a Lead Financial Officer for the World Bank Treasury.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Gianfranco worked at the Interamerican Development Bank as a Finance Officer and subsequently spent over a decade at Lehman Brothers as a Senior Vice President. Gianfranco has worked with Emerging Markets clients for over 20 years, over half of which was spent on Wall Street. He brings extensive global market experience which has been deployed within the team across the product spectrum and in various jurisdictions. Gianfranco has helped to catalyze the use of credit enhancements to support mobilization of capital and has led the arrangement of numerous financial transactions that have been supported by World Bank Group guarantees globally. These engagements have earned him over 15 awards and distinctions across VPUs, Global Practices, and MIGA.
Gianfranco holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and International Law from John Hopkins University.
